I stayed at Refugio Torre Norte, which is actually a satellite of Torre Central. I paid US$47 for a bed in a shared room of 6. There was not even a hook for hanging a towel or any shelf space. The shower cubes (all of them it seems) have congested sinks so there is a pool of water by the... More

You shouldn't expect to get away with charging people 70,000 chilean pesos for this sort of crap. That's nearly £100. The food was awful, the ambience non-existent and the staff bored. The smoke alarm went off all night so that we about about an hour's sleep. We're talking dorm beds, for Christ's sake, Next time we'd bring a tent and... More

The manager, Eduardo, was friendly and very helpful when we had a problem. The place was clean for the most part, food was average but hungry hikers aren't too picky. The staff (other than manager) was mediocre, unfriendly. And I left my backpack in my room in the refugio to go hiking, and someone came in my room (the door... More

They say that hiking in the Torres Del Paine National Park is a once in a lifetime experience. What they forgot to mention was how this once in a lifetime experience was going to cost you an arm and a leg. Everything is grossly overpriced in the TDP national park, from park entrance to accommodations (a bed in a shared... More

We spent our last night of the W here. Coming from the Refugio Los Curenos, we were caught in a rainstorm and hiked for about an hour in it before reaching the Hotel Los Torres. We almost abandoned our reservations at Central when we saw the luxurious hotel but were ultimately glad we pushed on the extra 10 minutes to... More

My girlfriend and I had the chance to stay 2 nights at refugio central in our way to complete the W circuit in Torres del Paine...and it was by far the best place to stay...beds are really comfortable (they all have a goose down comforters!). Staff is also really nice and helpful. We saw a few tourists having pictures with... More

Its rate was quite expensive for a dorm lodging - but where else could you stay in Torres del Paine? (Las Torres Hotel is there but they would be even more expensive!). I was a bit dismayed to find the 4-bed dorm had no curtain, and people could walk in front of the room and look into what we did.... More

Terrible service, too expensive for what they offer and the rooms were bug infested. The people that work there treat you like you doing them a favour. Everything was so overpriced like the meals were as expensive as the one in the hotel which is nicer

My friends (3) and I really enjoyed our short stay (late afternoon to next morning) in this lodge. It's beautifully located, dinner was delicious, breakfast was served on time, and was good, box lunch was more than enough for a day trekking. The room was a bit small but mattress, sheets, and blanket were great and clean. I do recommend... More

Really enjoyed staying in this refugio for one night. I was quite lucky since no one else was assigned to the six bed dorm I was in. The entire place is brand new including the absolutely fantastic beds and comforters which appeared to be direct off the truck from Esprit. The rooms had huge lockers, all facilities worked well, the... More
