I would recommend this place as the hosts told me that I've overpaid on hostelworld and charged me about 40% lower than the rate stated on my booking form. This kind of honesty is very rare. This coupled with a nice room, location of the place, and the overall atmosphere of the hostel has my overall approval. Its located slightly... More

Great hostel all in all - owners are extremely friendly, helpful and provided good travel advice and tips! The common area was a good place to meet people and exchange travel stories. The hostel is located a minute's walk away from the main square but considerably far from tourist madness. Be sure to also visit the white chicken temple located... More

We only met the, presumably, wife of Jun who was extremely helpful and friendly and advised us well on things to see and do. The decor was indeed Tibetan in style, simple, homely and very colourful which made a welcome change from other hostels in China. It was in a great location so convenient for everything. We had a double en... More

Just like what everyone say here about Jun, he truly is very funny and very entertaining to his customers in the hostel. The whole experience was very pleasant and I tell all my friends about it. It was like as if I went on sleep over at a friend's house. The hostel is just a very simple yet very humble... More

We stayed for 3 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Jun and his wife, Christine are such wonderful host. Jun is Korean and married a local Naxi lady and established this gem in Shangri-la. The guesthouse offers two rooms with attached bathroom while others have shared facilties which includes dorm rooms. Fantastic homestay atmosphere. The common area is cosy... More

What a great guesthouse!! Jun and Christina make perfect hosts- friendly, chatty, kind and caring. Above all, They are jovial, and a fountain of knowledge on local attractions. It's easy to see why many people make this place a home away from home. I didn't get to try the Korean BBQ, but it looked superb. And the rooms are spotless... More

We stayed in the private double room that had comfortable bed and clean shared bathroom facilities with hot water. When we arrived the family was eating breakfast but still welcomed us and sat us down with tea while we waited for our room. There is also a nice rooftop area and lounge to hang out in. 500m from the dancing... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our twin room was very spacious and the communal bathrooms are exceptionally clean. All the facilities you need are here, with a very friendly and helpful staff. The cosy communal area has free tea and internet aswell - highly recommended!

What a great wee spot. Out of the way of crazy 20 year olds lashing it up, this has a laid back charm to it. Was only planning on staying one night, turned into four. Really amazing decor - all wood and beautiful fabrics. It's a quick 1 minute walk to the old square where they have folk dancing every... More
