This might once have been a modern and comfortable hotel, but things have obviously decayed with little maintenance and the single rooms have suffered the misfortune that a supermarket is now directly underneath... so continuously from some time around 7 in the morning there is the noise of trucks arriving and deliveries being unloaded. This comes through the floor and there is no way to escape it.
Much of the internal decor in the rooms looks like it dates from the late 70's or early 80's - and now the functionality is rather less than one would hope. The built-in radio controls are still there but have no effect and one of the cupboard doors opened onto an empty space containing only shards of wood rather than any shelves. The bathroom, a curious wedge-shaped space due to its location in a roof gable, was covered from ceiling to floor in a dark brown plastic material with small circular protrusions which must once have been the height of fashion.
