Arenas is a nice quiet village with usual amenities. Excellent location for hiking etc. Secure free parking for motorbikes and cars. Lounge / Bar area has a library type feel - very nice, lighting is very well done with individual lamps rather than ceiling lights.

We booked this hotel for four nights for hiking in the Picos. The hotel is in the center of the village, near the river. Arenas de Cabrales is a nice village with a few restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Exceptionally friendly and helpful English speaking staff made all the difference to our stay at this hotel in the middle of Arenas, which is an attractive small town just outside the Picos de Europa national park.
