Ron and Helen, owners, made us feel at home. Their b & b was spotless and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was super and plenty of it. Location is on main Bala high street, with Bala lake a two minute walk away. Private car park. Bikers, as we are, welcomed. Room had sky/complimentary coffee/tea/chocolate. Beds comfy. Sink in room... More

Helen and Ron were very welcoming hosts to their beautiful home, we were very comfortable, cosy and felt very relaxed. The decor is beautiful, with lovely views from their very sumptuous living room, and our bed was very comfortable, with views of the lake, and lots of little extras in our private bathroom...and the breakfast was just delicious...what a little... My brother and I planned a walking holiday and roughed it the first night in a tent in the snow. Great experience and nice and warm with sensible layers ;) We did not expect it to be as cold and wet at this time of year so after an 8hr hike on the second day we decided to treat ourselfs.... More

We visit Bala regularly and switched to Helen and Ron's B&B after poor experiences elsewhere in Bala and a glowing recommendation from friends who had stayed with them before. From the moment you enter to the moment you leave you know you are welcome and that every need will be catered for. The accommodation is homely and to a very... More

I stayed at Monfa B&B for 3 nights by my self. Having stayed at a several B&B's over the years I have to say this is by far the best. I would highly recommend this to any one staying in the area. I gave it 5 stars for lots of reasons including the hot power shower, lovely breakfast, warm/clean room... More

Friendly and very accomodating host. Lots of parking available. Only gripe was my room was on the road, so slightly noisy, but I am lucky enough to live away from traffic, but if you are a very light sleeper, ask for the room upstairs. Overall a great location, and the breakfast was the best I think I have every had... More

Excellent choice of B & B for a long w'end of biking and mountain walking. Superb location for both pursuits. Although Bala itself is probably less outdoor pursuits orientated than other nearby towns it offers excellent opportunities for both cycling and walking over lesser known but spectacular and little visited ranges (Berwyns, Aran Ridge, Arenig Fawr, Bwlch y Groes). Returned for our second visit this year to Bala over the August bank holiday to do some hill walking and for my partner to take part in a cycling challenge event. Our first choice of accommodation was the Monfa. It was lovely to be welcomed by Ron and Helen again; the energy and enthusiam they put in to making their... More

We stayed in a very clean and well furnished room. The breakfast was perfect. This was all matched by very welcoming and friendly hosts. I'm not sure what could be done, if anything, to improve. Many thanks.

First of all there was parking on the road outside Monfa, or you could use their car park if you preferred. Check in was smooth and we were given fresh milk for our tea and coffee in the room. The bedroom was spotless with dressing gowns and plenty of towels. The bathrooms were upstairs with more towels and shampoo etc... More
