We paid 62 EUR for a short night in this hotel on the 1st of may 2006, on our way from SANA'A to SHIBAM, HADRAMAWT. The hotel itself was one of those middle eastern modern style hotel, that looked like it was built in the late 50's, but actually, it was completed not so long ago. Our room was very large with neutral decoration, if any, and all amenities were fully functionnal. It overlooked a big blue swimming pool, as did all other rooms we guess, as the whole building was built circular around it. There was a large garden, a huge reception desk and ONE choice of ONE restaurant, and eventually the only option during our stay here, because no one was allowed to leave the hotel by himself, at ANY CASE. All visits in the area (the old dam, the "no-need-to-be-visited-but-you-have-to" new dam, the 'arsh bilquis, the mahram bilquis and the ghost town of old Ma'rib) are subject to a solidly armed military escort at specific time along with as-many-groups-as-possible.
