The place is overall very lovely and the rooms were wonderful. The staff however were rude at times, for example refusing to let us eat our breakfast in the sunlit breakfast room as this was saved for late breakfasters, and directing us to the dark evening dining room, saved for early breakfasters. The rooms in the main building are comfortable but small so the best bet is one in the annex over the road - more modern and roomy. We stayed here for 5 nights recently and thought it a lovely hotel. The rooms are not luxurious but very pleasant and comfortable and reasonably priced.
