The Jondeni Guest House is fantastic. After a boat trip from hell from Unguja to Pemba, we were picked up by Ali, the manager. The guest house is located 10 min walk from Mkoani, the small port town in the South of Pemba, on a hill overlooking the Indian Ocean, about 250 meters from the water. From our terrace, where we also serve all meals, you can watch the sun go down into the sea. We serve local fresh food. 7 rooms are double rooms of which 5 are self contained. The others use a shared bathroom. We have been in this business for 11 years and can arrange diving, snorkeling, visits to historical sites, Ngezi forest - a conservation area, protected part of the rain forest with indigenous plants, monkeys, birds and butterflies.
