Sabie is definitly a nice place to be and worth a visit, but we would recommend another accomodation. During our trip we spent many nights in different lovley Lodges, which combine the authentical african style with the need for comfort and luxury better. Though, the gardens are very beautiful there, the "Lone Creek" is a good average Hotel, but unfortunately... More

My daughter and I recently stayed at Lone Creek River Lodge on the last night of our safari. It was beautiful from the moment we drove through the front entrance. The lobby was small but intimate boasting a staircase and chandelier with views out to the gardens. We were situated in a room on the second story overlooking the gardens and... More

Not 5 star as advertised! I took the best room available- the river suite. no air con! No bar fridge even though requested they couldn't fulfill my request. Rooms are very poorly maintained- actually they aren't maintained at all. wooden floors are scratched- looks bad. wooden floors are very noisy when walking on. walls are cracked. furniture is very old... We went there over the December holidays with a booking in the River Suites, supposedly the best rooms at the Lodge. Although rated Five stars, the suites are decorated from what seems to be a decor catalogue dating back to the 1980's, featuring old wooden and linen sofas and couches resembling your average living room in the Karoo. Definitely a... More

This hotel is very nice and a great place to stay when exploring Sabie. We stayed in one of the Lodge Rooms, which are on the other side of the street. The room was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, which we appreciated since this was our first stop after arriving from Europe. The tranquil and... More

Great atmosphere. Romantic, classy style. Beautiful rooms. Very comfortable bed and shower. Lovely large garden. Extremely friendly manageress and receptionist. Pity about the tiny ants in the bathroom. Nice food though. Free parking. Internet available in the office.

The hotel looks very luxurious at first glance, but there are some problems. The welcoming letter apologized in advance for some “maintenance issues”. On the plus side, the rooms are quite spacious (we had a River Room), comfortable beds and large bathroom with double bath and shower. Parking is off-street and secure. The surroundings are tranquil with a nice view... More

We have always driven past Lone Creek and wished we were staying there as it looks so beautiful. At first we were booked in to the wood-cabins across the road (Still lone Creek). These are rather badly designed if you are a couple as the room is pokey and is meant to be used as a room in the main... More

We went for a weekend away and stayed in the log cabins. We have traveled the area quite a few times and stayed in different lodges and guest houses and this was by far the best! What made this stay even more complicated and at the same time more enjoyable was the fact that we traveled with our 6-weeks old... More
