First good thing- free internet point and Wi-Fi in the lobby!

Anyway, this is our second stay after a break of five years. Nothing has changed- which is good. Many of the staff are the same, which I feel is a good sign.

This hotel is in a super location right on the edge of the lake (Wörthersee) with its own private grounds of about an acre on the lakeside, where there are also a couple of pontoons going into the water. Current temperature of the lake is about 23C.

Staff are helpful and the food very good.

The hotel is about 3km from the village of Pörtschach, where Brahms used to like to stay. There are many free bicycles for guests to use and a cycleway from the hotel.

The rooms are standard hotel-type. But they all face south, across the lake, looking out on to distant mountains. It is a most wonderful view to wake up to.
