We stayed here three nights. Its hard to fault this hotel. We dined in both restaurants and I think we enjoyed the Bistro more than the find dinning experience; but this may have been because we were a bit tired. What must be said is that the breakfast is to die for. Most exceptional selection of fromage blanc, rice pudding... More

Because of a snow storm I was forced off the highway and needed to find somewhere overnight. Saw the sign for this hotel 2 miles ahead....what a wonderful find. Rooms were superb, beautiful linen, clean and welcoming. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The meal in the restaurant was exceptional. Breakfast was fabulous. This is a place I would... This hotel has recently celebrated its 8th birthday. We have stayed at least ten times since the opening. It was always good but each visit reveals something new and improved. This time we were shown the Salle de Reception which is beautiful and perfect for a memorable wedding or business meeting. The hotel decor is not to all tastes but... More

This is Marc Meurin's second restaurant in the Chateau de Beaulieu. It was strongly recommended to us by the owner of a B&B in the area - and we are so glad she did! Full of local families, smart, properly run and good value (we all had the €36 menu de saison). Lovely food, not completely unreasonably-priced wine from a... More

We were very lucky to be invited to stay at Le Chateau de Beaulieu in July and also to dine at the 2star Marc Meurin restaurant. the hotel has a very tranquil sense about it and is the epitome of luxury. Everything from the check-in, the standard of the rooms, the gardens and service was excellent. Should the opportunity arise... More

Set back form the street entrance in beautifully maintained gardens is this 17th century chateau. As with all Relais & Chateaux establishments, the theme is elegance of the premises and the surroundings. Beaulieu tops it off with a true gourmet restaurant - tender lamb, foie gras etc. Marc Meurin, the French master chef and proprietor, greeted us and his dinner... More

Leave the night before, drive less than an hour from Calais and start your continental trip in style at this eclectic hotel & restaurant. Excellent restaurant. Rooms are well appointed. Interesting art and decor abounds. The grounds are extensive and calming. Wonderful place to stay.

We stayed here on the 15th and 23rd June 2012, this is our fourth stay at Beaulieu it is an excellent stop over on route to the South of France, it is only 40 mins drive from the tunnel and provides a perfect resting place before the long journey to the Dordogne.[we had driven from Scotland]. The chateau is set in lovely grounds and decoration is a bit of a mix of styles. On arrival we were not offered any assistance with luggage, the receptionist showed us to our room which had a nice view over the gardens, the room it's self was a bit cluttered with furniture, a big stool at the bottom of the... I stayed there yesterday night with my husband for dinner and accommodation. The Hotel is a beautiful old building, which - as with so many French chateaus - some illustre stylist has given a completely tasteless inside. A mix of garden furniture and (haven't we seen enough of it) of flashy seventies armchairs. The room was very clean and thank... More
