We stayed here as an overnight stop to break our trip south. For that purpose it was convenient and comfortable. It was handy enough to some restaurants. more

We stayed here for 1 night when driving North thru' Spain. No one in Benicarlo ( including the Parador staff ) smiled. The rooms and bars , were not the best that the Parador chain have to offer. We visited the Parador as a family so appreciated the facilities like table tennis and tennis court with equipment available to use. The room looked out onto garden and the harbour. The rooms are large and with a balcony . Benicarlo is a working town with fishing fleet and a small industrial estate near the station with good rail connections... more

The room we were given on check in was terrible however we managed to change this to one that was acceptable but it was still not to the usual Parador standard. We thought the room rate was expensvie considering the location, near supermarkets, a terrible beach - position and standard of room. The buffet breakfast and dinner were very good. more

we stayed 5 nights here very peaceful and relaxing. Breakfasts are quite expensive but there is every item on the buffet there are discounts for all age groups or for staying 5 nights and not necassary at the same parador, as there are 90 in different areas of spain. with the discounts they are no more expensive than any other... more

At first sight, the hotel is in a great location on the beach with fine looking grounds, lawn, pitch & put course and swimming pool. We have just returned from a holiday touring Spain & Italy. We mostly stayed with friends except for three Paradores in Spain. They were Tortosa, Cardona and Benicarlo. Perhaps after Tortosa and Cardona we were spolit. These two Paradores could not be faulted on any aspect, however Benicarlo was a real disappointment. As luxury hotels go I found this one... more

At first glance, this seems like a top notch Parador. Great entrance, good looking lobby, great gardens. We were stunned by how good looking our bedroom was.
