We stayed here using a Living Social voucher. We were welcomed with a glass of fizz and a towel to wipe our hands by the lovely Audrey. We were allocated room 1 which is probably the room everyone is offered for the Deal. Elegant room, with very good shower. Nice touches like the little nibbles. We found the room to... More

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry that you found the room a little warm, the heating both in the bathroom and room can be turned of so apologise this was not explained to you properly. The menu is not a buffet but you order from the menu so these... More

A very comfortable hotel in a convenient location for walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Friendly staff to whom nothing is too much trouble. (Leave your walking boots in the passage to dry out). Lovely breakfast. Quirky mis-matched furniture and strange small fireplace in dining room add to the charm. Local pubs friendly and reasonably priced with nice food. My... More

We have just had a short break at The Orchard House and reading previous reviews it sounded too good to be true. It is exactly as other reviews have said and certainly warrants a visit. The whole house was beautifully decorated with fine furnishings and very homely atmosphere. A warm welcome awaits with a glass of bucks fizz and warm... More

We stayed here for a surprise night away organised by the kids for my 50th birthday. We were warmly greeted by the house manager, Audrey, with a nice chilled glass of bucks fizz and after the initial greeting we were shown to our room (no.1) on the top floor (3rd) and were pleasantly surprised, especially when I found out my... The housekeeper was really friendly, from the moment we arrived until she wished us a safe journey home. We stayed for 2nights in a double en suite room. The decor was modern and warm and the bed was very cozy. There were little nibbles in our room on arrival and a bottle of water each by the bed everyday. You... More

Took a little trip to this place with my hubby because it was on Living Social and very reasonable (£49.00 b and b) It is a guest house on the High Street in Rothbury a place we have never been before. Very relaxing and pleasurable stay. The housekeeper was friendly and helpful and greeted us with a glass of bucks... More

I stayed here in April while I ran through Northumberland on my LAnds End to John O Groats challenge. Graham was very welcoming and generous and also his friendly housekeeper made me feel very welcome. A great night's sleep ready for a long day's running the next day - thanks so much for your generosity. Joe Mbu

We went in the spring and stayed here for the night. We had a lovely stay, from the Buck's Fizz welcome, the room, the sleep and the breakfast were all top class. The best B and B that we have stayed in so far. Rothbury was such a pretty place, taking you back in time to an old market town.... More

Have just returned from a two day stay at the Orchard House. I had a suite which was very nice with as much space as a small one bedroom apartment. The suite was very well equipped with a large bedroom, lounge and a massive bathroom. It had a good view of the High street from the front windows. All the... More

We stayed for two days in a very cold March. Our room was cold and the breakfast room icy - no heating at all. There is a nice lounge which has an open fireplace but throughout our stay the fire was never lite which was a shame as it would have been very welcoming. Breakfast was good

Thank you for your review Please accept our sincerest apologise that you felt cold during your stay. It is a shame you did not speak to any of the staff as this is so easily rectified - could it be that the radiator in your room was not either on or on a low seating ? The heating system itself...
