I spent one night here and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd say the only downside is the price- we paid 180 EUR for a double and 17pp for breakfast. However, i did search extensively and this was the only chateau in the area with availability so i guess it's what the market will bear...
We did enjoy our stay- the rooms are nicely decorated, spacious and with nice views. We spent quite some time in the gardens which are lovely and quiet and a great place to read and have a picnic. You do need a car to get here and to move around- at night we drove to the nearest village where the owner had booked us a table at the local bistro: unpretentious but high quality food with good wine. Overall the owner was very helpful and he told us a lot about the place. I heard him speak English with other guests (we conversed in French) and seems eager to help and inform.
