Stayed at Grove House Connel for 1 night in June 2009 and had a thoroughly enjoyable, comfortable stay. We stayed in the Grove for 1 night. The welcome was very friendly. Karen showed us to an immaculately clean superior double room, No 2.. The bed was really really comfortable and I had a brilliant sleep. At breakfast there was so much to choose from. Spoiled for choice. You are free to use the hotel garden adjacent the house.... more

We were delighted with our stay at Grove House in Connel which is a much better option than staying in Oban itself. We were met by the very pleasant Karen who showed us immediately to our room and proceeded to present us with a bottle of wine in a bucket of ice along with cut glass wineglasses. I dont know where the gentleman or lady from the previous review was staying but it certainly was not the same place as myself, i had the same superior double room as them and it was simply lovely the bedroom and on ensuite facilities matched perfectly...the lady owner of the house was very welcoming and the breakfast was to die... more

My wife and I have just returned from a most enjoyable short holiday. Grove House is a first class base and the hospitality of Karen and Sean was outstanding. The breakfast was wide and varied and certainly suited our tastes.. I would recommend this guest house to anyone looking for good accommodation at very reasonable prices.
