We just had a blast at the Highlands Hotel in Minden Ontario.

We were part of a reunion and had booked the entire hotel for a weekend in August. All the rooms were clean and comfortable and had satellite TV, mini fridge and coffee makers. The 'clubhouse' or recreation room was fantastic and we were able to cook for over 20 people in there! All the dishes, appliances and pots and pans were there as well as propane BBQ's. I noticed that they even had tea, coffee, sugar and a few other staples in case you didn't bring your own.

Dora and Paul are the hotel owners and were very hospitable. They are a lovely couple and gave us our space while always being available for us. Can't ask for more than that.

The weather wasn't very good that particular weekend (and hasn't been good anywhere in Canada this summer) but we were happy to have the facilities that the Highland Hotel offered...it made it quite easy to bear.
