Picture this: you’ve recently connected with old friends and they’ve invited you to their home in an ancient village in Brittany. You arrive to find the house impeccably restored, immaculately clean and covered in bright flowers. The guest room is a haven and your friends give you some daily ideas for exploring the surrounding area: Musée de la Résistance in... More

I have just spent nine nights at La Maison Blanche as a guest of Adrian and Jean. All the superlatives have already been used in previous reviews, but as a lone traveller the extent of the hospitality and homliness are even more important. My nine night stay was fantastic and I could have quite happily have stayed for nine more. Maybe... More

We stayed 3 nights in Malestroit with Adrian and Jean as the perfect hosts. The location is fantastic with the peaceful sound of running water and a lovely bright terrace on which to enjoy a glass or two of wine with our hosts. Only and few steps and you are into the centre of town. We ate at both Grain... More

There are few places which take your breathe away but the location of La Maison Blanche on the side of the canal overlooking the weir and mill certainly does just that . La Maison Blanche , with it's flowers and blue shutters is an idyllic place to spend a holiday. We spent five days there and with Adrian and Jean... More

We stayed in La Maison Blanche for just one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. We were in Malestroit briefly as we spent much of our time on this trip in Paris, and also some time in Provence. The B&B is next to the canal, which is a beautiful, picturesque spot. Our room was white with purple accents,... More

When you see a property on the internet that ticks all the boxes of your search criteria the big bonus is actually experiencing the same or more when you arrive. This B&B I feel is exactly what you expect a B&B to be. The hosts Adrian & Jane invite you stay stay with them in their home as their guests... More

Adrian and Jean welcomed us into their B&B on our arrival from Port Launay. Rooms very immaculate and very comfortable, although double room was a little small. Adrian provided us with a sumptuous breakfast on each day of our stay, and provided us with a lot of local information. We were warmly invited to share the lounge room where we... More

pretty blue-shuttered house with a large terrace on the banks of the Oust/Nantes-Brest canal. good comfortable beds and excellent showers. Adrian's breakfast is wonderful. Sets you up for the day and is not to be missed. A welcome cup of tea or glass of wine is always offered on the terrace or in the cosy sitting-room and Adrian and Jean... More

What more can we say that hasn't already been said. We stayed here for 3 excellent nights. Adrian and Jean are perfect hosts right from the point you first get in touch. They recommended good restaurants for us and booked them before we arrived. When we got there we were greeted with a very generous glass of wine (which soon... More
