After a hard wet day in the saddle, my group of 24 cyclist enjoyed their overnight stay at Hotel de la Paix, Lodeve. Right from the initial booking the staff were excellent and very friendly. All rooms were very clean and well equip and staff superb. As normal we took half board with evening meal and breakfast, which were exceptional,... More

There is much to like about this hotel which has a very family run feel and things that just don't work. It is in a convenient location on the edge of the centre of a town that is really worth a visit and a really helpful tourist office that makes a big effort for the tourist (thank you Francoise). Reception... More

We are disappointed to see this unfavorable message to us. As you said we are family establishment, and it works for more than 130 years (same family), we strive to develop this family hotel undergoing the time of crises, or other laws .. you must know the current circumstances?!? ! We have all graduated diplomas hotel! with the right training... More

We were traveling by rental car from Paris to Barcelona and happened upon this quaint old village and by chance booked into this hotel. The hotel is in an old building (in the historical sense) but has been modernised. It has a small very friendly reception with a guest lounge with an open fire attached. The rooms are not that... We dined at this hotel on our way to Spain. The evening was warm so we ate in the very attractive courtyard. The menu was inexpensive and the food good but not gourmet! The wines were a little overpriced. On our way back from Spain we stayed overnight. We had a very comfortable room which had been newly decorated and... More

Very nice hotel, recently renovated. Has a nice pool area & the restaurant was very good. Breakfast not included, but well worth the 8 euros. Town is small, but a good place to start into the amazing Gorges of Tarn area. 70 euros for 2 persons. Also has free wifi.

We had stayed here and liked it, twice before. This time, we organised a Wine Appreciation trip for 41 "Amateurs de Vin!" We travelled by English coach and spent four nights at the Hotel de la Paix. Our numbers filled the hotel, and each evening Christophe helped me with a wine tasting from a different area of the Herault, which... More

I stayed at this hotel with my partner and two young children (aged 1 and barely 3) on the way back to England from Spain. It is conveniently located not far from the A75 which connects the south of France with Clermont Ferrand and then onwards to Orleans. This was very much a last minute booking as we decided to... This was a delightful family run hotel close to the centre of Lodeve. We had a warm welcome on arrival (just what we were looking forward to after a long drive) and were taken to the rooms by the owner. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The restaurant was extremely good; excellent service, a good choice of wine... More

This was our second stay in the Hotel de la Paix in as many years. The rooms are basic but comfortable enough, the restaurant very good, and the town itself is a quaint little place just off the motorway to Montpellier, ideal for stretching your legs after a long day's drive. For one night, it's a good stop on your... More

We found this hotel after quite a wander around Lodeve, recommended by a greengrocer closing up his shop! Very friendly and helpful service, and a suite with pull-down bed in the living room was provided. We decided to eat in - the courtyard restaurant next to the pool was great, looked like it would be expensive, but excellent food (not... More
