Stayed just one night on the way to Spain. A small hotel in a very pretty location with an excellent restaurant which is a must if you decide to stay. The multilingual staff go to great lengths to make you feel welcome. There is even a welcome drink - home made lemonade and local macarons. We had a standard double... More

Had a great two nights stay at the Auberge on our Pays Basque vacation. We stayed in one of the family rooms, an absolutely massive room with two separate bedrooms/showers. Food was great, service fantastic too. The nearby lake, Lac Saint-Pee-sur-Nivelle is a great family destination during the summer months.

This hotel is in a very peaceful location ideal for visiting the area. Rooms wonderfully decorated with lovely gardens. A great restaurant but it is slightly expensive, particularly breakfast. Best places to visit in Spain : San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Leitikitio, San Sebastian. In France must see's St Jean de Luz, St jean pied de port, Biarritz Wonderful coastline and... More

We stayed here for two nights and had a fabulous time. Modern food of the highest quality. Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Amazing breakfasts! Beautifully decorated rooms in calm colour ways with high quality beds, linen and soaps. Showers to get lost in! Only slight reservation is if you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the rear.... We stayed at the auberge basque for two nights and had two rooms. The site of the hotel is wonderfully relaxing, with a gorgeous view on the mountain "the Rhune". The staff is very professional and warm. The delicious and stylish breakfast alone is worth the trip. This was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Only minuses: One of our rooms was... More

The Auberge is set in a small village, 30mins from St Jean de Luz. A peaceful spot, with delightful views of the surrounding countryside. Well sign posted from the motorway. This small hotel (more a restaurant with rooms) is a very effective blend of traditional and contemporary architecture, reflecting the two old and new "halves" of the building. Our suite... More

Have stayed here several times and look forward to going back again next year. An extremely relaxing place to stay, the rooms are lovely - stylishly but simply decorated (I think it's Flamant), beds very comfortable, showers great. Really quiet and peaceful. Rooms now have hairdryers and tellys if you need them. The restaurant is utterly lovely and Cedric is... More

Tranquil setting. The Auberge itself is comfortable, elegant yet charming, unpretentious. Great bathroom! The best 'continental' breakfast I've ever had (and I'm a chef). Oh -- and a Michelin-starred restaurant for dinner right downstairs...truly delicious locavore cuisine beautifully presented and with very nice service. All this at a fair price too.

We stayed there 3 nights and very much enjoyed this wonderful hotel. Everything is tastefully decorated and the restaurant is simply great. Enjoy seating in front of the open kitchen and watch the cooks prepare your meal. We would go back.

We spent 4 nights here based on the chef's reputation and on some of the other reviews on TripAdvisor. It is a lovely renovated inn with about eight rooms, located down a winding lane, smack in the middle of rolling countryside and is quite centrally located for visiting the gorgeous villages and seaside towns of Pays Basque. Auberge Basque, which... More
