We had four nights at Langass Lodge, and I simply can't fault the place in any way whatsoever. We were looked after royally by Niall and Amanda as well as all of the very atentive staff like John and Shona. The room was clean, comfortable, warm and spacious with stunning views. Breakfast was a feast (on the first morning I... more

Not sure if this review is particularly necessary, given the number of times that I've seen it featured in the press recently, however; It's excellent on all fronts. The food was great, staff were friendly and helpful and the general air of the place was just right. You won't be disapointed. more

We didn't stay at Langass Lodge (by accident, not design) and were looking for somewhere special to go for our first dinner as a married couple. From the moment we arrived staff were fantastic. We ate in the restaurant where the food was excellent and service prompt and friendly. Mentioning a fondness for chocolate we were presented with a taster... more

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the experience. We had a room in the main house and were very comfortable. The shower room was perhaps a little small but it was just about adequate. There is a walk up to standing stones directly from the hotel which is to be recommended for the views and for peacefulness... more

The owner manager of this hotel compleley destroyed what could have been a lovely stay in a great location. Think Basil Fawlty only female and 100 times worse. My 5-year-old son is allergic to nuts and when he took a severe allergic reaction to something he ate in the reastaurant (causing vommiting and distress) she told me not be so... more

Dear Sir following on from my comments it has just been pointed out to me that your one night stay with us was over two months ago and so I can see how you are having difficulty remembering your remarks and my response Thank you

We did not stay at the Langass Lodge, but it was recommanded to us for an evening meal. Because we had not booked, we just did bar food and it was one of the best experiences in Scotland with bar food so far. The quality of the food is excellent, all freshly made and exquisit, even the bar food. We... more

As you leave the main road and drive by what looks like a disused industrial estate it would be fair to say that expectations are low. Upon arriving at the hotel though, all of that is forgotten as the setting is stunning. The hotel is a mix of the old and the new. We stayed in one of the new... more

white wine was nearly always served warm-staff seem unable to serve it cold or understand why this shoudlbe so.. Lounge is often dominated by noisy children and noisy games- impossible to find any peace and quiet. No snug area restricted to adults. hotel boat as advertised for trips on web site is not in service- would be nice to be... more

Dear Sir I was very sorry to read your review, perhaps when you look back at Trip Advisor and read the review that came in on the same day you will understand. It is very unusual to have so many children staying together and I am sure that it does not appease your complaint that they have submitted an excellent...

We arrived by rigid inflatable boat and anchored off in the bay below the hotel. We were 4 families with lots of young children (7 adults and 10 children from ages 4 - 15) and we were never made to feel we were a burden - in fact the opposite - we were welcomed and made to feel at home.... more
