My husband and I recently visited Prague, Czech Republic. It is a beautiful city. We rented a car and drove from Munich, Germany to Cesky Krumlov, CZ and up to Prague. The traffic in Prague is wild to say the least, so we decided to stay outside of the city in a small village called Karlstejn. We found a lovely bed & breakfast called Slon Penzion (-------------). What a great bargain!! It was a lovely old house, whose host was so accomodating and whose English was very good. Karlstejn is famous for the beautiful castle in the town. Most people that visit Prague go to Karlstejn (as a day trip) just to visit the castle. Our bed & breakfast was less than 1/2 mile from the train station, so we left our car at the b& b and rode the train into Prague. It was about a 30 minute train ride each way. And, the cost of our ticket, each way, was $1.20 (american dollar) It was very convenient and we didn't have to worry about driving in the Prague traffic and finding a place... more
