The location is great, on a hill overlooking both bays and Yunque. Remember you don't have to stay there to be able to use the bar/restaurant and benefit from the views. We heard good reviews of Casas. The new part of the hotel have balconies and face out over Yunque and the bay. It's a stunning view particularly at sunset.... More

The hotel can be seen all across the town as it is so high up. The hotel was a very pleasant surprise. As it is situated at the top of a hill the gentle breeze was welcome. The pool was clean with plenty of chairs and loungers available, although not a lot of shade for people who want to stay... More

Stayed here for two nights. Many rooms do not have balconies including the one we stayed in. The rooms are clean, small, basic and have showers only. They provide a small towel per person and no floor mat but will give you more on request. This hotel does not offer money changing facilities of any kind. Neither does the town... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour. The terrace and pool are great with views over the town and towards El Yunque (Cuba's Table Mountain). The rooms are Ok by Cuban standards and the service not bad - the breakfast was OK.

Close to the centre of the town but perched above it with amazing views over the surrounding area. The rooms are spread out over quite a large area with several flights of steps to reach the furthest ones. The room we had was comfortable with efficient air conditioning and a good shower. Some of the surfaces between the room and... More

This is the closest hotel to town, 4 blocks, The first block is approximately 50 steps down the hill or use the switch back drive to the base of the property, you need to be in good shape to return up, only local gas power cab can make it, approx 3 CUC fare if you need a ride up. .Lack... More

This is generally a very comfortable hotel surrounding a verypleasant pool and bar area. We were half way through a 2 week tour of Cuba and we had by now come not to expect too much in hotel quality. El Castillo however was pretty good all round and the food was probably as good as we had anywhere. We had... More

Our tour group had been warned that our accommodation in Baracoa was going to be basic. It started life as a fort in the eighteenth century, perched atop a hill, and there are a hundred steps to reach it from the town, where we left our bus. (Smaller buses and cars could drive to the top of the hill.) When... More

It is very nice hotel with good localization. Placed on the hilltop, looks like castle. When you stay in front of hotel you have great view on ocean and all city. Double room costs around 60$. Rooms are clean, with TV satellite, fridge, air condition. There is also small swimming pool and restaurant.

This is a terrible place. Dirty, shabby, very very rundown ( empty flower beds, paint peeling from the terraces, rust marks down the walls), chronic food and dreadfully unhelpful staff. Our first room had a view of ugly water pipes and felt subterranean owing to the high bank outside. After 2+ hours we moved to a higher room and had... More
