Never written a review before, but I have to spread the word - this is an excellent destination if you will be in Tuscany for any length of time and are looking for a beautiful, comfortable and friendly destination with an excellent restaurant. The staff is very accommodating! In fact, the director of the property, Alfredo, learned that I was... More

It takes me ages to pick a place to stay as we have a b&b ourselves in Frithelstock (rural north Devon, Uk). This place stood out but because of the quality of the rooms & facilities (lovely pool, terrace & gardens) I thought it would be too expensive. I was wrong - the place offers excellent value for money. The... More

Borgo il Poggiaccio is a perfect spot to spend a week in Tuscany. It sits in the middle of beautiful, rolling hills just 45 minutes south of Florence ...and even closer to Siena. It's a 20 minute ride to San Gimignano. We stayed 10 days but we should have stayed in this region a few days less....and stayed to the... More

We stayed here for a few days in August. It was my first time in Tuscany and I had this romantic picture of the area in my mind from the movies that i thought would be hard to find. At Borgo Il Poggiaccio we had a beautiful styled room in an old building, views over the amazing landscape, good food... More

On my recent vacation in Tuscany, I discovered Borgo Il Poggiaccio, a restored 14th century hamlet, now a 4 star medieval residence. It is a jewel, located in the rolling Tuscan Hills and a perfect respite from sightseeing in and around Siena, The various size apartments are beautifully restored and appointed with fireplaces in traditional Tuscan style The grounds are... We had stayed here while visiting Italy for a few weeks, and LOVED it. A great place to "live the good life", and visit with new and old friend. The food was also well prepared, and our hopes, are to return to Marry here. See you next year, in 2013 for the Wedding! Ken and Angela Marie

Our group was comprised of two couples, one with kids aged 7 & 16. We took a 2-story 3-bedroom apartment. Everything was lovely, especially the people and the food. We ate breakfast and at least one additional meal every day at the on-site restaurant (Note: lunch and dinner menu is the same). They did offer a special menu one of... More

Thank you for your nice comment! You just focus on our plus: helpful staff, location (not far from the most important place to visit), European style breakfast, on side reaturant with special food! It's true, we don't have any airconditioning but it's not strictly necessary. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back in the... More
