Not often you can stay in a room built in 1411 and with an en-suite. Wonderful welcome. You feel as if you are a member of the family. Great ground floor room for elderly father. We were up two flights of stone spiral staircase. Great for us but some might miss a handrail. Great breakfast. Quiet location. Bedlinen adequate but... More

I stayed with my wife and children (11 & 8) and booked 2 rooms one night. This hotel is in the calm and pretty small village. It takes about 30min. by car from Le Mont Saint-Michel. This cute small and traditional hotel was built in 15th century. The rooms are clean, well furnished and confortable. The garden maintained by hotel... More

It was a delightful experience; I especially enjoyed learning some history about the manor from the friendly people that own it. The owners were very hospitable, welcoming us to the house as old friends would. They offered us apple cider welcoming drinks and a hearty French breakfast the next day. The rooms were very spacious and richly furnished. It feels like... More

Highly recommended. This was an amazing experience and was the perfect touch on my romantic road trip through France. It was a great way to surprise my wife. This Chateau is exactly 600 years old (built 1412). The building has so much history, with huge wooden cross beams supporting each floor, stone spiral stair case, and big open rooms. The... More

We arrived late from a long US flight from Orlando to Paris- via car rented in Rennes. RoseMarie and Joel helped us find a restaurant- since many were closed due to a holiday. The room was tastefully furnished and decorated with interesting paintings and pieces. One delight was the very modern bathroom- we loved the warm showers. The view of... More

It was one of the highlights of our trip. Not just another impersonal luxury hotel but a place with a soul. Fabulous, beautifully restored manor house and tastefully furnished rooms with the atmosphere that makes you dream about the times long gone. Manoir de la branche lets you enjoy its historical charm in a great comfort. What makes this amazing... More

We were accepted at late notice from a failed booking 8 miles across country, hot and bothered and incredibly behind schedule, we were given the most reassuring and calming welcome ever, and as it happens, this is how our hosts receive all their guests. We were shown to our enormous room, (Chambre des Hirondelles) and then immediately press-ganged into joining... More

RoseMarie and Joel were perfect hosts, very welcoming and full of helpful advice on local attractions and restaurants. Our room was huge with a wonderfully comfortable king sized bed. The stone manor had been lovingly restored, and they were rightfully proud of its history. The gardens were lovely and it was very quiet, but close to town for shops and... More

Superbly restored, beautiful manor house (small "castle") with lovely owners, highly recommended! I found Manoir de la Branche on Trip Advisor when looking for accommodation near Mont-St-Michel. The good reviews can really be trusted! We were planning to stay one night but decided to stay for another night when we discovered what a lovely place this was. The owners, Anne-Marie... More

We stayed in this manor for 1 night. It is located 30 mins away by car from Mont Saint Michel. After visiting the famous monument, along picturesque country roads, we had enjoyed cherry blossoms and yellow colored colza farm. Joel and RoseMarie, owners of this manor welcomed us with genial warmth. They are very cultivated and Rose Marie speaking several... More
