A pleasant rather old fashioned hotel which is spoilt by the noisy yobs who frequent the public bar. If you like shouted abuse, slamming doors, revving car engines and blaring car radios, this is the place for you. Otherwise, take some good earplugs or find somewhere where the owners are more concerned about their residents than their noisy locals

A beautiful old change-house (where you waited for the ferry) in a cracking spot feet from the sea. My husband saw an otter as he unloaded our cases. Lovely room, lovely staff, great food - it even has its own standing stone! We will return!

You know you're in the right place as soon as you arrive; a warm greeting is the tip of the service iceberg. Fanastic local seafood, spotless stylish rooms and a VIP sea view. The Polochar standing stone right outside might be over 2000 years old but this hotel experience is here and now!

Set at the tip of south uist is a traditional inn with modern bedrooms and great food.....and the scenery, the standing stone, the beach, the sunsets, the stars...all a step outside this lovely scottish inn. No midgies at this time of year too

We have just had a lovely stay here. Although brilliantly sunny, (unlike most of the rest of the country there was no snow) it was chilly outside, the Inn was warm and welcoming.
