First experience in a Hotel in Gorakhpur & I was floored. Stayed on fourth floor & rooms were completely high tech. Shivoy hotel after renovation has improved a lot esp on 4th and 5th floor . Lift is a little congested but as per staff its getting upgraded to a bigger one . The location of the hotel is good but the rooms are terribly small...considering the city is not expensive at all...it is not all value for money...Food is extremely bland...all the curries taste the same...All the staff keeps saluting you expecting a tip...To be an avoided hotel...

Hotel Shivoy has decent rooms - but is one of those hotels where you would not want to stay on pleasure for longer than a night. The reception gives you a feeling you enter a hospital and though the rooms are clean and spacious they are gloomy and lonely.
