Stayed for one night on business locally. Room was fab, with a really comfy bed - one of the Concorde I've ever slept in in fact! I think all the rooms have been refurbished, so shoul all be of the same excellent standard. Rooms are above the pub, so I thought there might be some noise, but I didn't notice... More

The Cott Inn boasts that it's been licensed since the year 1320. Apparently it was an unlicensed shebeen for a while before that. A couple of years ago I tried to take two friends to the Cott for lunch. The kitchen was closed and the whole place looking a bit the worse for wear. Very disappointing. So I was delighted... More

Six of us stayed here for new year, it was superb we had 3 of the recently refurbed rooms they were stunning, mark the owner has done a fantastic job. The new years eve meal and live music was outstanding, and on new years day mark went out of his way to lay on a lovely buffet lunch for the... More

While staying at Dartington Hall for a couple of nights we went here for a meal and have to say it's a beautiful building with masses of character. Great atmosphere, great food and we would definitely recommend the place. Mark the owner was so attentive, treating us like long lost friends and making everyone who passes over the threshold feel... A friend in Devon with whom we stayed recently recommended the Cott Inn and no wonder! We were so impressed by the standard of both the food and the service that we ate there a second time in the same week and thoroughly enjoyed it on both occasions. The young staff are friendly and courteous and the dishes were very... More

We stayed in Totnes and read about the Cott Inn in a brochure. We went twice for a meal. The first time we had the last table in the bar. It was opposite the bar. A warm welcome from Mark. The local cider was lovely and strong. It was busy with locals and they took the time to chat to... More

Clearly Charles Devon has too much time on his hands and has no right side to his bed! But enough about him, he's getting far too much publicity on here! We visited The Cott Inn on Sunday for lunch. The service was friendly and efficient, the atomosphere relaxed. The staff were very accomodating to our various requests and our order... More

My mother and I happened upon the Cott Inn by chance the day after we arrived in Devon. It was listed as a top restaurant in the information book at our chalet with lots of good reviews and so we ventured in for Sunday lunch. The ambiance was delightful and we were served quickly by friendly staff. I had one... More
