We rented this house for a week in April and had a super time. We flew into San Javier airport with Easyjet and the house is only 5 minutes drive.
We rented a car which was good for seeing the area but not strictly needed as the town of Los Alazares is within walking distance. Los Alacazares has plenty of shops, supermarkets, bars and some really good restaurants. It also has a terrific beach which goes on for miles and it's a smashing place for a walk along the promenade where there are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants.
Although there has been a fair amount of recent building it is a place where a lot of Spanish people go for their holidays and have their weekend homes. There are a few English/Irish bars but it has a predominantly Spanish feel to the place.
