We have just returned from our second visit to Lakeside Lodge and had another very enjoyable stay. Our 2 daughters really enjoyed playing with Graeme & Lisa's children and we couldn't keep them out of the pool! We enjoyed a delicious meal with Graeme & Lisa and had a thoroughly relaxing stay in a beautiful location. Highly recommended. Delicious afternoon... More

My husband and I spent two nights at Lakeside Lodge in January. The accommodations are excellent and the setting is idyllic. The best part, however, was spending time with our delightful hosts and their three children. We were made to feel as though we were part of the family, yet given every opportunity for privacy when we wanted it. Don't... More

We had a wonderful stay with Graeme, Lisa and their kids (who treated us like family). This property is set in a very idyllic location, although a little unconnected from town, and they serve awesome fresh breakfasts with their farm providing most of the food. We also had dinner with the family and I can still smell that roast! We... More

How nice to be treated like visiting family, great children to have at the table for breakfast, such wonderful conversations with them, just delightful! Breakfasts were outstanding with farm fresh eggs, their own bacon, best coffee in NZ. The optional dinner is a real treat, don't miss it. The accommodations should be listed 5 star! What a wonderful experience, and a delightful family to stay with, it certainly felt like home!! With charming views of Mount Arthur, Graeme and Lisa were most helpful in suggesting and recommending places to visit in the near by area. I had such an enjoyable experience at Lakeside Lodge and would certainly recommend this to my friends and family. More

It has taken me a long time to write this review but better late than never. My husband and I just wanted to thank Lisa and Graeme and their great children for all of the hospitality and for sharing their little bit of paradise with us for 3 days in March 2011. We got the grand tour with Graeme and... More

It feels like home - provided that your house is a stunning wooden lodge with a magnificent view, has a charming interior, is surrounded by a spacious garden with sheep, cows, ducks etc, inhabited by lovely, charming people, and several pristine fly-fishing rivers - with the chance to catch these double-digest-brown-trouts - are in front of your doorstep... or simply:... We once again enjoyed spending time with Lisa, Graeme and the children at Lakeside Lodge. We were welcomed like old family friends and admired the new kitchen which was installed soon after our last visit. A new additon at Lakeside Lodge is the Garden Suite which looks out over the gardens, pool and the lake - the verandah is the... More

We arrived after a busy holiday travelling around the South Island and Lisa and Graeme welcomed us like family and we immediately felt at home. Our 2 girls thoroughly enjoyed playing and swimming in the pool with Lisa and Graeme's children. Lisa cooked a childrens' tea allowing the adults to enjoy a relaxing and delicious evening meal whilst the children... More
