After a difficult drive in heavy rain this was a great place to arrive at and walk in and feel at home. We stayed in a studio apartment. this was a great place and well situated for the Abel Tasman park. I stayed in a downstairs unit, they seemed to have a mixture of sizes and levels - very spacious and well designed, even had an ironing board that folded down from a cupboard. If you're on your way to Abel Tasman, this motel in nearby Motueka is a great place to stay. This is not a luxury acommodation, but the rooms are new, clean, comfortable, and bright. By luck we found this wonderful motel in the tidy, quiet town of Motueka (30 minutes from Nelson) at the top of the South Island and gateway to Golden Bay. Incredible place to stay while exploring Abel Tasman. The room was almost new with a king size bed, spa bathtub, plasma TV, DVD (free rentals), and kitchenette. Great value (NZ$150). more
