It takes a long time travelling from Saigon or Can Tho and then the boat to the island which you pay for but it is not too expensive. We were resting on the journey between those places. You get isolation and tranquillity interspersed with noisy boats. Early morning and evening you can watch the tidal flow change and really relax.... More

Once you are on the boat, you are pretty much there. Owner will organise shuttles. But this is really a hotel for 1-2 days to escape the hustle and bustle of life. Simple accommodation (more like basic caravaning). Simple breakfast and traditional Vietnamese dinner. No lunch, so if you need it, bring it! What makes this is the quiet of... More

Accomodation is very expensive for the comfort they offer. There are no alternatives so you have to eat (breakfast and dinner) at your 1 star accommodation. Breakfast very poor (half a glass of apple juice and some little loaves of bread). Poor shower with cold water. Boat trip to the main land is very expensive and you want to go... More

It does take a bit of an effort to get here, when you get there you will be very happy. Mr Kimma and his staff are fantastic, it is very basic accommodation, but that is what you go there for. It is a very peaceful place to stay, just wonderful to watch life on the Mekong and quite cool at... More

I was quite excited by the prospect of the Floating House... My husband a bit less, as he thought we would get bored (we stayed three nights) but he ended up loving it and the kids did too ! Mekong Floating house offer a unique experience, something that your rarely get when you travel these days: you feel like you... More

Based on the great reviews and photos, we booked into this place. Only once we got there, we were informed of all the limitations/restrictions: - Hot water only from 8am to 5pm (forget about a quick shower before bed after a hot day - this is the Mekong and it gets hot...) - once you are in the cabin, you... Rooms are basic but really nice and clean, there is a hammock and a seating area outside. The staff was really friendly and helpfull. We didn' t expect that there was nothing to do, so we were a bit unprepared for that. The only way to get your own food and water is to go by boat. the boat will... More

The houses are great and clean, the bed comes with a mosquitonet, and the shower is seperated from the toilet. The food is great and you can enjoy your diner at you own terrace. The downside is that there is not much to do on turtle island itself and at night the motorboats are really, really annoying. Overall it is... More

When my wife told me about the possibilty of staying on a floating house I was excited, but unprepared for the outcome. We were warmly greeted and shown the property by the owner. Every need was attended too. We were fed like royalty and waited on hand and foot. This as some of the best food I had while in... More

This is a beautifully designed resort where you get a true nature experience. Its a fantastic place to rest for a few days or to use as a base to explore the area by boat, bike or walk. All the food served there on cottage terase were really exciting. Each menu was extensive and provided a delicious range of Vietnamese... More
