I cannot believe what a previous trip advisor member has written about this hotel.I totally disagree with their comments. My husband and I stayed at this hotel in May this year.Prior to this we stayed there twenty years ago when it was named The Astir Palace. It was nice then but has improved a lot. We can't praise the hotel management and... more

I just came back from a 1 week stay in this hotel. I think this is one of the worst hotels I ever stayed at. Exept the view and the great location this hotel has nothing that could compare it to other 5 star hotels. How could a 5 star hotel have staff which dosent speak english? How can the... more

Just returned from the Corfu Imperial after spending 10 days there. The location is excellent with wonderful views. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful plenty of variety everyday.Whilst we were staying there an Arabian Prince and his guests were on the same floor as us (5t Floor)I would recommend this hotel. The only downside was the... more

The hotel is located on a private peninsular with a number of small private beaches. The location is very picturesque and surrounded by well-kept gardens. One of the down sides for the location is that there are very few restaurants or bars within walking distance and a night out will involve a taxi ride. We booked a standard room that... more

We are a middle aged couple who normally stay 5* HB or cruise P&O. We enjoyed our holiday in Corfu despite the Imperial rather than because of. Accepting the base line for 5* status is not internationally agreed, I use P&O Cruise as bottom line for standard. This hotel falls well short of 5* - indeed in my view struggles... more

We began our stay in one of the garden bungalows - actually an upper room in a block of 8 rooms, 4 ground floor, 4 above. It was a very spacious room and tidy but it was very dull and in desperate need of upgrading. The bathroom was old fashioned and dingy and had no air conditioning and the room... more

Lovely location - very private with a great pool and beaches. The food was good and the buffet style dining as one would expect. There is a separate fine dining restaurant in the complex which was well worth a visit to have a change from the evening buffet and lunch was easily obtainable at the pool and beach bars (we... more

Really expensive hotel, 5.80 euros for a 0.5ml beer, 11 euros for a cocktail and 7.50 for a non-alcoholic cocktail. Food was good but you had to wait by the buffet for the food to arrive as they always ran out. Rooms need upgrading badly, many guests moved rooms becuase the air-con was non-existent, our room faced south so it... more

Me and my wife stayed in the Corfu Imperial for a one week in July 2007. It is amazing what waited us in the end of that bad and narrow road... at least to us it was the finest hotel we had ever been in! Of course we had visited the hotel´s website and read many reviews on this site... more
