The Corfu Imperial holds many fond memories, we have had 5 previous family holidays at the hotel, but not since 2006. Some noticeable improvements have been made, such as opening the beach bar in the evening and updating some internal decoration in the lobby area. Our bungalow was of a 5 Star standard having been refurbished recently - but the... more

We couldn't believe the Trip Advisor reviews of the Imperial before we left for our 10 day stay, having had a great holiday there four years ago. But having just returned from what was still a great holiday many of the comments made are fair. The hotel does need to move forward to match the rest of the world's 5... more

We have just returned from one week at this hotel here is what to expect for their 5* experience. Twin beds pushed together and like sleeping on rock, inadequate pillows. Too isloated and very very expensive E3.40 for 1/2litre of water E9.40 for gin & tonic E3.40 upwards for a glass of wine. in the pool bar 2 toasted cheese... more

The beds are so hard you can't sleep well, and if you get sunburn the sheets will rub you raw. The only thing Northumberlandlass forgot in her review was that there is no water pressure. It takes you 20 minutes to take a shower because you have to stand under the dribble of water, then step out and back in... more

Buffet food disappointing for what is supposed to be a five star hotel alternative is to pay a lot extra for alocarte restrurant. Bar drinks very expensive "walk up the road to the little taverner" Beach and pool is very good though. more

This was the most disappointing hotel we've ever stayed in - and one of the most expensive. We expected the minimum of 5 star standards and it was struggling to meet 3 in most aspects. The location was, however, very pretty - albeit a fair drive to the local town and as the timings of the courtesy bus were very... more

We stayed at this hotel after cruising for one week with Thomsons. When we first arrived we were not impressed at all. It was so isolated and the brouchure did not mention this. Then we looked at the prices which were outrageous. 11 Euro for a Gin and tonic and Vodka and tonic and 8Euro for a beer. Also water... more

We are both in our 50's have travelled a fair bit but never before have we slept on such rock hard beds. It was akin to sleeping on a park bench! The rooms were large, so too the balcony but so very tired in decor. Very little storage space. Very old bathroom - definitely not 5 star as advertised. Bit... more

It is worth going to this hotel for the setting alone, very beautiful and tranquil. On arrival we asked for a room in the main building (although the bungalows in the grounds also looked very nice) and we were given a room on the 4th floor with a delightful view (although I believe all the rooms have a sea view... more
