Been here twice now and have loved it both times. The place is immaculate and staff are brilliant. Local pub 5 mins away is nice as drinks are quite pricey in hotel. The setting is gorgeous and only 10 mins drive from York park and ride. The spa is also lovely and a relaxing setting so nice to treat yourself....

Spent a weekend at Alwark Manor January 2012. The hotel staff were excellent very attentive. The food in the Brasserie was excellent and piping hot! Used the Spa facilities and both had a massage which was fantastic. The only downside was the Terrace bar - never staffed but had the Sky Sports on was not cleaned - ie the floor...

Stayed at Aldwark Manor for 2 nights in January 2012 (3 couples).
Accomodation excellent, Queen size beds very comfortable.
All staff extremely pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Brasserie Restaurant food was again excellent.
Hotel feels very remote and relaxing, but has several good pubs/restaurants within easy reach, and York is only 20 minutes by car.
