We stayed in a one bedroom house which has a separate living area, kitchen and bathroom. The bed is large and plenty of storage. Patio big with the most amazing panoramic view of the bay. Very clean with nice shared pool which during end of September was very quiet. It’s an easy walk into town but we had a car and used it most of the time. There is a free car parking area next to a new one which charges €3 we always managed to park free. A few supermarkets nearby. Great restaurants and many places to visit. The calmest sea I’ve ever seen too! We used the sun beds belonging to Zoe hotel at €5 a day.

We stayed in a one bedroom villa for 12 nights and have been taking villa holidays for many years. Views-the loveliest view from the villa terrace of which you could never tire from! Really exceptional. Cleanliness-this was excellent for our arrival. Following this, bins were emptied and towels/bedding changed every 3-4 days. For us personally some additional items in the villa would have been helpful such as the presence of an iron and microwave in the property (there is a mini oven and hob though the grill when we once tried it was not very effective). A washing machine would have been of benefit ( there is apparently a chargeable washing machine in a central area though this would have been impractical for us as the villa is situated a fair distance away). We were unable to have the villa doors open without a number of insects flying into the property and some type of insect screens would have been good. A barbecue at the villa would have been lovely to have made use of during our stay. These issues did not detract from us having an enjoyable holiday but just would have been of benefit to us. The area-Giavola is a pleasant little place predominantly offering quite upmarket restaurants as opposed to many traditional Greek tavernas (Kochilli fish taverna being an exception and very good. Also around 10 minutes away near the village of Romanos is Katerinas, a fantastic authentic Greek taverna with lovely staff). Overall a good stay at Eleonas holiday houses.

The view from our appartment is worth so much! We have now returned for the second time to Eleonas. Just as good as before. Peaceful, engulfed in nature, so restful. And a walk to Gialova and a choice of lovely restaurants. Nobody bothers you and it's so relaxing!

Unacceptable host, I paid 4800 euros for a month, I met him one morning when I had taken the Labrador for a walk, he almost hit my dog with the car and was shouting/honking like crazy and I got in front of his car to save my little dog. unprofessional, worst host. WIFI connection Every 4 minutes the signal was lost for 2 minutes and they appeared again and the whole day it was the same. Some period lost the connection for 3 days. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PET OWNERS, HOSTILE WITH OTHER DOGS.

Just spent a week in Eleonas with our family. It was the perfect accommodation for us. We stayed in the 2bed apartment with private pool. We had an amazing week, perfect location in Giolova but would recommend renting a car so you can visit the gorgeous local beaches that are off the beaten track. The apartment was clean, lovely friendly staff. We will definitely be back 10/10

We stayed for a week in a one bedroom villa with private pool and cannot fault the accommodation or location. Nestled in an olive grove, the villa was very clean, and though not luxurious, has everything you need for a perfect holiday. The pool was cleaned every day and the villa cleaned twice weekly by a team of ladies that 'blitz' the place. The air con and wifi work very efficiently. You get fantastic views across the bay and beyond and everything feels very private. Our villa was at the top of the hill.... so be prepared for a climb if you don't have a car! The village of Gialova is small but with a variety of restaurants and bars set on the seafront, so you get amazing views of the spectacular sunsets. I can honestly say we didn't have a bad meal while we were there and the portions are very generous. Yiannis, is very helpful and arranged for us to move to an apartment on our last day as we had a late flight, at no additional cost. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a laid back, relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings.

Lovely secluded maisonette, private and in it's own garden. Well designed complex, nobody overlooking each other, very quiet with servicing every three days. Fantastic and efficient team of ladies, thank you! Beautiful Gialova with lovely restaurants, totally Greek, no Irish bars! A great place to get away from it all. We didn't have any transport, ( I would suggest you did!) which meant we didn't see all that we wanted to but certainly developed some calf muscles getting up the hill! The nearby beaches are lovely and a lot of time was spent by the pool, very clean & relaxing. A great holiday, with very helpful hosts, Inge & Yiannis always there to help. Would highly recommend, we loved it!

I seriously cannot praise Eleonas Holiday Homes enough. We had a 3-bedroom villa with private pool - the villa was spotlessly clean, spacious and nicely laid out, with excellent air-conditioning and beautiful views. The pool was simply awesome, completely private and not overlooked by any other properties. Sitting around the pool you feel as if you have achieved holiday utopia -- incredible views across the hills of Messinia, cicadas chirping, beautiful orange/yellow butterflies flitting around red and orange flowers; the sun sets over the lagoon and you never tire of watching the colours of the sky change as night falls. The walk down to Gialova takes about 15 minutes and if you are lucky you will be adopted by Mylos, the owner's dog; she will lead you down and hang around chilling on the waterfront until you are ready to walk back! Everyone in Gialova knows her and she is such a sweet, gentle creature, so charming. It is a lovely walk, through the olive groves and lemon trees and coming back at night with the cicadas singing away is so atmospheric and idyllic (if you are OK with walking uphill!) Gialova waterfront is lovely and just busy enough to have a great atmosphere, with plenty of tavernas and bars. The area is fascinating if you love history, which we do. We visited Nestor's Palace, circa 1200 BC, also Methoni and Koroni with their Venetian castles; further afield (each around 2 hours drive) were the ancient site of Olympia and the Byzantine city of Mystras and modern Sparta. The people of Messinia, even by Greek standards, were so lovely and friendly, so helpful and patient. Last but by no means least were the owners, Ioannis and Inge, who were fantastic, really helpful, friendly and happy people (mind you if I lived there I would be pretty happy too).... To sum up, it was a wonderful stay, I cannot remember a better one. We never go back to a property twice -- but we will certainly make an exception for Eleonas, simply fabulous.

We stayed in a one bedroom appartment with its own pool which was very private and breezes kept it cool for sunbathing. All buildings face in different directions and have their own gardens around them, surrounded by a working olive grove, so it feels luxuriously rural and isolated by your pool yet only a few minutes from a well stocked little supermarket also selling local produce. Best to have a car. Good balcony with stunning views over the bay. A great selection of Restaurants are five minutes drive away, with a choice of beaches including water sports and a few bars with sun beds etc. In early June it was very quiet and few tourists. The apartment was serviced twice during our week stay and was very clean. We are definitely coming back.
