I stayed here two nights in December along with a big group, and if I return to Koszeg, I will try the pleasant and contemporary pension across the plaza (Portre Etterem). Our room was barrack-like with no decoration or warmth, and the lighting, carpets, and curtains seemed to be the originals from 1979. It seems some of the other rooms... more

You cannot get a better location in Koszeg than what Hotel Irottko has - right on Fo Ter, overlooking the cathedral and cafes. The building itself is an ugly Communist style hotel completely out of sync with the beauty and history of Koszeg. Make sure you get a renovated room with a view of the square and a new bathroom.... more

We stayed here for a week in early July in the middle of a heat wave. This hotel sits exactly on the City Square facing the main church of the Sacred Heart in the quaint little town of Koszeg, Hungary. It's near the Austrian border. The location is fabulous.
