An excellent hotel in a beautiful setting. The highest level of service offered by all staff. Made to feel very welcome. Room was spacious and extremely comfortable. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and only lasted one night. The hotel staff were rude and inept and looked down on us (we were the youngest couple by about 40 years). Stayed for 3 nights in November 2007 for my 40th birthday. Initially booked into main house but felt bedrooms were a bit 'tired' looking. Wonderful hotel in a fabulous location. Great service, good food, lovely rooms. We particularly liked the reception rooms on the ground floor - lots of places to sit during the evening including by the fire (but a bit hot to do that during summer). This is my second time visiting Eriska. Fantastic private island location near Oban - you feel like you could be a million miles away though.
