We visited Melfort during the half term holiday in 2012. We were fortunate to be able to get a last minute offer and stayed in Pier Cottages. Wow - what a location! Breath-taking views of the lock a stones throw away to the front and a spacious rear garden with hillside views. Hardly any passers by so very private. The... More

We stayed there in March 2012, and were in Farm Cottage 3. This is a very large traditional house which has been very tastefully done out. The accommodation was simply huge, I think we counted beds (including the downstairs sofa bed) for 10! That is 3 bedrooms. This place is in the middle of no-where, but the scenery around is... More

We stayed in stables east which was well equipped. We had requested a cot & highchair both were set up for our arrival. The heating system was storage heater based but these were perfectly adequate. There were panel heaters in the bed room which we had on at low all night our electricity bill was £26 for the week so... More

This was our first full week in Melfort in March in Haybarn Cottage which was excellent in comfort and style. The weather was dry and sunny but very cold, this didn't stop us visiting the Island of LIsmore on our bikes, the island of Mull and Iona, to which we took the car for a day trip which we thoroughly... Overall would happily return...see more below: Cottage - spotless and very well equipped, lovely log fire too. Two bedrooms, full kitchen/diner, nice lounge area with sky free view, games and books. Storage heaters all good, panel heaters in bedrooms to top up when needed although one was broken (not a problem as we would only have used on first night... More

We stayed at Melfort Village in Haybarn Cottage the week commencing 16th March. Our cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equiped. It took a while to figure out the controls for the storage radiators but once we had found the heat lasted throught the day despite how cold it was outside. The village lacks is a convenience store so... More

We stayed a week and were fortunate to have fine weather all but one day. The complex of tme share units is unusual in that they are scattered and of many different designs, being converted buildings. We stayed at Lower Cooperage which was a one level unit, spacious but with only one bathroom. Only problem was noise from the people... More

This was our first visit to Melfort Village - we hope the first of many! We spent the week of February Half Term with our two teenage sons and two terriers. We stayed in a Walled Garden property. There was a home from home feel and everything we needed to be able to cater for ourselves was available. We had... More

My wife and I stayed in Coachmens West for one week 26th. January 2013. It was great and I can highly recommend. We went for a crash out week and that`s exactly what it was, with heavy rain and wind for four days stopping us going anywhere, but we didn`t mind. We kind of expected it in January. The accommodation... More

Have just spent yet another fabulous week at Melfort Village. There is something very special about this place. Not for those who enjoy the hustle and bustle, it is impossible not to kick back and relax. The accommodation is of the highest standard which is maintained and cleaned by an enthusiastic team who cannot do enough to ensure the guests... More
