Having booked a three night stay for £ 99 each B&B we proptly upgraded to Loch view (£ 25 all in) and two extra nights (£ 66 each) and following a very long drive from Essex were presently surprised. The hotel is very old. The rooms probably need updating although, that is not why we chose to spend our anniversary... more

The hotel is some way of the beaten track but provided us with excellent views over Loch Awe. Very disappointed that the heating was not working in our room - especially as we had a toddler but they did provide us with an electric heater. The room was clean and tidy and it was hoovered everyday whilst we were out... more

We enjoyed it so much we came back for a third time! We love the location as it offers the chance to tour and walk in the countryside. We enjoyed the food at the hotel but also had the choice to self cater with fresh local fish. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. more

We bought our 3-day deal way back in April with the idea of travelling up to Scotland during the Ocotober half-term. I booked the three nigts more or less immediately with the hotel by phone, then confirmed about a month before we were due to be there..."no booking!" However, the friendly booking clerk, whose English wasn't good, sorted it out,... more

After looking forward to a stress-free weekend in a remote Scottish hotel my wife & I were left anything but chilled, mainly thanks to the English Hotel manager in the Basil Fawlty mode, who was rude, arrogant, smug, pushy & very 'in your face'. The setting was idyllic enough on the banks of Loch Awe, & the hotel from the... more

After reading a few of the reviews written we opted for the "wait until we get there and see for ourselves" attitude and we are so glad we did! We had booked a luxuary lodge with hot tub and were allocated the Dunvegan. The lodge was very spacious and sat on a hill. They are very well equipped with plenty... more
