We spent an unplanned night at The Old Parsonage on our tandem cycle trip from John O'Groats to Lands End when we were running late in difficult weather. We were not pre-booked, and we did not arrive until 9 pm, but the proprietor could not have been more welcoming and helpful, making sure we had all we needed (and providing much appreciated large slices of cake!). The room was large and beautifully furnished and had comfortable chairs and settee as well as a very good double bed. Breakfast was excellent and generous and set us up well for the next day's challenge. more
