as a regular eating at this pub, I recommend the Sunday Lunches especially. Fresh food, well cooked and presented beautifully. Not too "cheffy", the food is on the more expensive side of pub food, but thats due to the care and attention given to the menu, which offers a good selection of specials, often quite unusual but delicious. The room we were given had a badly chipped and rusting bath, there was black mould in places around the bath edge near the wall. The Plough appears to be a tradtional inn now geared to functions. We used one of a 2 storey row of motel style rooms across the car park from the main building to break a journey.
