We had a really pleasant stay at Cranage Hall. When we arrived, the cast of hollyoaks were just inside reception - much to my dear wife's pleasure - we were talking to them for a while and they seemed a great bunch of guys. A lovely hotel in lovely surroundings. We were attending a wedding in Swettenham and could not... more

I have recentley stayed at Cranage Hall on a Spa Package and i was very impressed. I must admit then when i read the reviews on here i was a little concerned but i think these people are either too fussy or have stayed in a completely different hotel. it is a shame that not everyone has the time to... more

Total incompetence on this hotel's part meant our good friends had to find another venue after the 28 rooms that had been booked for their wedding guests, way back in January, were double booked! This caused untold anxiety 8days, yes 8 days, before their wedding, with many calls and emails in order to change the venue at the last minute!... more

I can't write a full review as I wasn't able to stay there due to a "technical error with the booking system" that meant that an entire wedding party had their rooms cancelled with just a weeks notice! Looking at some of the other entries on Trip Advisor I can only assume that this is how Cranage hall likes to... more

My wife and I were due to stay here (Carnage hall) as part of a wedding group. It was booked months ago. The hotel rang the bridge a few weeks ago to confirm the guest list that were staying - everything was fine. Then, 1 week before the wedding they rang and said they had double booked two whole wedding... more

Cranage Hall is a beautiful old building with an institutionalised accommodation wing attached. They seem to focus on conferences and unless you're there for one I can't recommend it. Breakfast mediocre, rooms okay but nothing special. There's a maze of corridors to negotiate to get anywhere. Price was reasonable but in this case you get what you pay for. more

Arrived Saturday afternoon just as wedding guests arrived, but was checked in swiftly and efficiently. Lovely room, so if you get a room like the review below suggests asked to be moved. Room view of countryside, unfortunate window not bigger. Ate in the Restaurant in the evening, pleasant food, well presented - except for peach cheesecake which didn't have any... more

Very disappointing. Health inspector would have had a great time - black mould in bathroom, random towel hanging from curtain track. Disgusting. Noisiest room I've ever stayed in - in the basement and every door slamming at noisy wedding about shook the room till 3 am. Restaurant for breakfast hot, stuffy and wasp infested. Poor speed of service when buffet... more

My husband and I took the opportunity to take up the advertised offer, staying at Cranage (Room 201) from 25th to 28th August travelling from Devon. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who quickly completed the booking-in process. All members of staff we encountered throughout our stay were always ready to offer a smile and... more

My partner and I booked a room at Cranage Hall well in advance of our stay as my Mum and her partner were getting married and we thought we would all make a weekend of it. After the wedding at Swettenham we booked a taxi back to cranage only to be told at 12:30am that we did not have a... more
