I stayed in Gaultier Lodge last summer. We were there for a long weekend when attending a wedding in the city. It came to mind again when thinking where to go this year. The house is situated on a lovely beach and bay in Waterford harbour. It is a deceptive house. When you enter from the road it looks like a... More

The very moment I stepped under the generous canopy of the ancient Holm oak at the gate entrance, I knew that I was entering an entrancing world, serene, welcoming and oozing with personality. The hall door opens onto a restful green library styled hall. It is filled with an eclectic range of books on gardening, archaeology, historical biography, riding books,... More

My husband and I stayed in Gaultier Lodge recently and we would highly recommend it. Firstly the location is stunning, the lovely Woodstown Beach is literally a stones throw away and there are amazing views from the bedroom, dining and drawing room. Sheila is a great hostess, very friendly and a great cook. Breakfast was lovely and we had dinner... More

Stayed here for our first night off the ferry from Rosslare before travelling down to our friends in West Cork. This was a wonderful find - the house oozes charm and classic elegance without being fussy and you feel relaxed from the moment you enter. The surroundings are beautiful - the lovely garden and the beach in front - where... More

Gaultier is a very special place. The house is a wonderful old-fashioned Irish home and with well appointed large ensuite bedrooms and very comfortable drawing and dining rooms. Dining was first class; Sheila Molloy is an excellent cook, and we had the choice of our own wine or a several good choices that Sheila keeps for guests. We found the... More

Arriving at Gaultier Lodge in the pouring down rain after our cab driver got lost for 30 minutes was a breath of fresh air. Running through the front gate, under the arbor and entering to meet Daisy (the dog) and Sheila. Sheila showed us to our room, facing the bright green lawn and ocean. With new nightgowns on, the lodge... More

A really relaxing break for myself and my partner and one night felt like a long break away from the usual pace of life... Sheila and Bill could not do enough for us in all honesty, you'd be hard pushed to find someone with that level of genuine service elsewhere and the meal we had was fabulous and we received... More

Just imagine being in an 18th Century home over looking a magnificient bay. The home's decor, the gardens, the beach and the view make for a wonderful stay. Add to all of this an extremely friendly atmosphere, where the owner works endlessly to ensure your comfort. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Gaultier Lodge in the... More

Here we experienced the warmth and friendliness of the Irish. My wife and i received a keen insight to the famed Irish Hospitality that you hear so much of. The strolls on the beach in the morning were extremely relaxing as was the view from our room. The furnishings were so very comfortable so as to make everything perfect. Sheila... More

We began our golfing tour with a couple of days by the beach at Gaultier Lodge. What a fantastic place to shake off jetlag! The view from our room was spectacular and we enjoyed watching the ship's lights at night from the comfort of that truly cosy bed, a stone's throw from the water's edge. We LOVED the decor, the...
