A real find ; expertly cooked and presented food in a lovely Olde Worlde style pub. The food was fabulous. Hard working staff were attentive but not overbearing and very helpful and polite when we were ordering , both for ourselves and our 6 year old son. I would give this place a miss in terms of staying. The rooms are cold dark dusty carpet dirty shower tiny and overall not a nice environment but the pub is nice for a drink in the evening.

We stayed here as we were visiting friends for a birthday bash. The room was clean and tidy with a nice choice of towels. All the staff at the Red Lion were very friendly, and accomodated our 22month old son happily. Breakfast in the morning was yummy, overall a good place to spend a weekend.

We found the Red Lion by chance and are putting it on our list of 'visit again' places.
