5 stars is not enough to describe how good hotel Leone is. A huge thank you to Madeline and Tim and all the staff for hosting us at for a painting holiday. The hotel was perfect, the food amazing and the staff could it have been more welcoming or helpful.

What a perfect experience. Hotel Leone was the ideal location for a relaxing getaway from the noisy crowds of the bigger cities. Beautiful property, amazing service, just the best people all around. From our arrival on Day 1 the attention to detail was fantastic. Madeline and Tim have done an outstanding job of creating the perfect little getaway. They worked with our group to organize the best experiences - from relaxing by the pool, to local food excursions and classes, to day trips in the region, it is hard to pick one thing above all the others! The staff - Liene and Leonard in the bar and restaurant, Sarah in the kitchen, and the lovely ladies who serviced the buildings and rooms so efficiently - Hotel Leone hit the jackpot! And I haven't even mentioned the meals that their restaurant creates (in their gorgeous dining room). They catered to food allergies and sensitivities, and provided options for vegetarians in the group. I always left the table happy, and stuffed! This is the perfect place for a retreat - whether painting, arts, yoga, food & wine, or just R & R. Don't expect to go shopping and spending money in town; it is a small community, which is what I loved so much about it! There was never the pressure of needing to buy things; it was all about the experiences. If shopping is your thing, a day excursion in the region is the way to go (mainly because you get to come home to Leone at the end of the day for another fantastic meal!) I am grateful for the experience and hopeful that I get to return soon!

I was fortunate enough to be able to join a group of women on a special getaway at Hotel Leone. Some of us in the group, it was a working trip, and the rest was for pleasure. Within our group, was many different requirements, either food restrictions, space or items needed. To say Madeline and Tim, as well as their entire staff, made each one of us feel special and heard, would be an understatement. They are all willing to help and meet you at your individual needs. We had several different tours booked, and they were absolutely wonderful! it would be hard to choose a favorite. The hotel was exceptional in every way. The food, the beverages, the decor, the comfortability, and the cleanliness were all top-notch. The town of Montelparo was welcoming and friendly. Not to mention absolutely beautiful! There is not one thing I would change! Well done Madeline and Tim! Bravo!! I will return 100%!

Let me begin with the fantastic owners, Madeline and Tim, along with their stellar and super attentive staff, especially Liene and Linnard. It's evident that Madeline and Tim worked hard over the years to provide one of the most exquisite experiences I've ever had.Want to feel like royalty?  Hotel Leone is the place to go. I was there with an art group with the fabulous artist Roxanne Evans Stout. She and Madeline worked together to provide a well-rounded experience: art in the studio, and excursions to a beach town (Pedaso), a unique city built of travertine (Ascoli Piceno), a visit to a winery with lots of tastings and a hike on the nearby Sibillini Mountains.  And the food?  Be prepared for the true Italian experience of slow eating with four exquisite courses per night, prepared by Chef Tim and his kitchen crew. I firmly believe that our group quickly became a community as a result of these dinners...fueled by good wine, of course. Hotel Leone is located in the tiny commune in Montelparo and an afternoon stroll gives one a sense of Italian living.  And finally...the views!  We were there in September where the fields were turning gold against the green mountains; it reminded me of the Idaho Palouse.  Simply stunning! The Hotel Leone sponsors retreats; art, writing, yoga, etc.  I recommend you come for a retreat and expand your spirit, and be cared for by the Hotel Leone!

You just can't go wrong with a stay at Hotel Leone in the beautiful village of Montelparo. I would love to return some day. Meals were top notch & plentiful, beautiful dining areas, gorgeous views on the outside dining area. All the rooms are impeccable, both vlesnliness & decor, all but one room have views that go on forever. Tim & Madeline were very attentive to us all and their staff were just the best, freindly, professional & super courteous. I highly recommend a stay at Hotel Leone, you will not be disappointed.

This boutique hotel is in the most stunning location in a Medieval town on the edge of a mountain in Le Marche region of Italy. If I tell you how good it is you'll be booking now and spoiling my chances of returning. Please don't go! Tim's cuisine is quite delicious, Madeline's welcome and hospitality is charming, the staff will ensure your comfort is assured, the rooms are spacious. I plan to return very soon, please find another Italian Shangri La!

My partner and I have just spent a wonderful week at the hotel on an art holiday. The hotel is in a stunning location with magnificent views. It is decorated with style and finesse and was impeccably clean throughout. The food was varied, plentiful and tasty. Madeline and Tim were very welcoming and run the hotel extremely efficiently whilst retaining a relaxed atmosphere. They are assisted by a small but amazing team of staff. Always polite, always friendly and always efficient. We intend to return.
