On having stayed all over the world fishing and shooting it came to be a bit of a shock to me to find one of the best shooting and fishing resorts in Scotland. I stopped for lunch with my wife and her mum just after one o'clock on a Wednesday, despite the welcoming hot food sign outside, the welcome inside was very luke warm. There is not a lot of competition around in Forsinard and it shows for some soup and a processed white bread ham sandwiches for 3 was £25! This place... more

Situated within Scotlands famous Flow Country and two minutes walk from the RSPB Forsinard visitor centre, the Forsinard Hotel offers excellent accomodation and hospitality. I should know as I was based there for several weeks during the spring/summer of 2007 undertaking an Ornithological survey.
