Me and my partner went for a long weekend by the sea.
I really felt I had to recommend it as it was just stunning.

Wivenhoe is a small pretty riverside village it reminded me of a English version of Dawsons Creek.
There are lots of things to do,we ended up going on lots of beautiful walks everyday and spending the evenings in the local pub!

The accommodation itself was over and above what we expected for the price.
It was right by the river, and was actually a self contained cottage.
The room we stayed in had a small en-suite it was very luxurious with high beamed ceilings and a fireplace
It was lovely and warm, the room was clean and the beds where very comfortable.
Breakfast was served downstairs , in our own little dinning room.
I had a full english breakfast everyday,which was much more than I could eat!
And my partner had a continental.
