This was our first trip to Italy and to Rome. We booked our flights with Ryanair flying out of Liverpool, which I must add were fantastic, arrived early and Ryanair staff extremely helpful and polite. We arrived at Ciampino with no problems and are bags were on the belt by the time we progressed through passport control. The airport staff... more

Reasonably priced hotel. Beautiful setting and stunning marble interiors. The exterior of the hotel, its courtyard and gardens are just as stunning, especially as the sun sets and the fountain is running. The room we booked was very large with a small balcony with views of the surrounding hillsides near Marino. (The air-con system is right outside the balcony but... more

A reasonable option when visiting Rome. We stayed a week in Rome, then spent a week in Marino at Domus Caesari which is maybe 40 miles out of Rome. This is a beautiful location on a hillside overlooking the lights of the Roman suburbs at night. The hotel is beautiful but it is run by folks who must be new... more

Beautiful hotel, excellent efficient staff - wonderful views. If coming from Rome, there is a train from Rome Termini - check info out on Domus' website. Can get shuttle (hire car Mercedes) to airport for between 20-30 euro. Stayed in triple room with our adult daughter, spacious, clean. Breakfast was ample. more

Marco and the other hotel staff were friendly and helpful, giving us the timetable of trains and buses plus directions to the railway station and map of Rome. Both of the reception staff spoke good English. As others have said it is quite a way (about 15 mins walk downhill) to the railway station and the road has no pavements... more

First of all I must say that Rome is amazing and we had a wonderful time. Unfortuately, I cannot recommend this hotel and believe me I really wanted to be able to do that. There are some good things about this hotel as many others have said, ie, the fantastic views, the cleanliness and the wonderful furnishings, also the staff... more

Lovely rooms, good service and the most amazing views of Rome. Despite what others have said the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large as are the beds. You have nomore than a 10-15 minute walk to Pantanella station down a hill (only part pavement so take a torch if dark). You don't have to buy the train... more

We stayed for a week in late June. Well positioned (as others have said) with good views and cooler fresher air than in central Rome. The trip to Rome on the train costs £1.10 and lasts 25 minutes - just be sure to atch the last train at 2106 or you are stuffed. Big, clean well-looked after rooms but no... more

Really cute boutique type hotel in Marino. Our only problem was in getting there...we looked on the train schedule at the Rome terminal and it said there was a train every hour until 9:06pm except for holidays and Festivi. Apparently Festivi means Sunday, because we missed the last train out. We took a metro to the farthest stop on the... more

Like others, we loved the hotel's location and rooms. However the service left a lot to be desired, when we were there. Lifts were not working when we arrived but nobody helped us with baggage. Internet was advertyised but is only available in the lobby area. The bar was supposedly open in the evening but it took 25 minutes to... more
