My wife and I tried Bare Oaks last month and I couldn't help but be disappointed. She wasn't relaxed--just bored. Although cheaper than a hotel, the "resort" had less to offer than a regular camping trip. We're in our '30s and while I'm pretty open--everyone was 55+. Our campsite was packed in with other trailers, RVs and tents. I didn't feel I was close to nature at all. No space, no freedom, no amenities, no food, no fun all for the added plus of dropping my shorts. I don't think so . . . more
