After finding this hotel online I was quite skeptical...it was sooo cheap that it couldn't possibly be in decent shape, could it?

When we arrive in Naxos the taxi driver told us the Agios Prokopios was his favourite place in Naxos and I agree. If you are like us and looking for a decent beach, some good food and relaxation it is perfect. The beaches connect giving miles of beach space. There are many restaurant options along the beach as well. If you want more nightlife you are probably better off nearer to the port...but again this is only 10 minutes away by car or bus (which comes once an hour right outside Amalia studios).

Upon arriving at Amalia you may not be left with the best impression. Its on top of a bike rental shop and the main area is all concrete. But this hotel was recently refurbished (2008?) and this is reflected in the rooms not outside!. The room was modern and clean with our balcony overlooking the sea and beach. Exactly what we were looking for... more
