We have just returned from our second year in Ellmau, this time staying in the Claudia pension.This is owned by the Holchfizer Hotel where evening meals are taken and residents have the use of the swimming pool facilities.
The best thing about the Claudia is that it is opposite the nursery slopes and within minutes you can be skiing.The accomodation is good, we had two rooms,one for the children and one for us.The rooms are comfortable and warm and some have really good mountain views,some with balconies.Towels are replaced daily and house keeping made the beds in the morning.
The breakfast is fairly standard,bread rolls,cheese,ham,cereals and eggs.We then returned in the evening to the Hochfizer for dinner.We found the meals perfectly acceptable although perhaps a little bland.
I would certainly return to the Claudia again and for the kids and us the parents it was a joy to know the slopes were so close. more
